We Don't Talk About Film Club

May 15, 2022

Leicester Horror Con may be on hiatus since the pandemic shut down their 2020 event, but they're keeping busy with other projects including the brand new Leicester Film Club.

Leicester Film Club is a new city centre night that plans to screen cult, horror and classic films, providing an alternative to the current crop of blockbusters available at the cinema.

Events will be themed, including trailers, music, introductions and sometimes panels, discussions or performance.

And the group's first screening, in fitting with the Brewdog venue vibe, will be "Punxploitation"-themed and will feature punk film trailers, an introduction by academic Tom Watson and main feature of A24's horror thriller Green Room (2015).

The film stars the late Anton Yelchin and also features Patrick Stewart as a white supremacist gang leader.

The group are very excited and can't wait for audiences to join them to for a 'thrilling ride' with local film fans.

The event is due to take place on Sunday 12th June 2022 at BrewDog in Leicester (8 Friar Lane, Leicester LE1 5RA)

Please note the screening room is upstairs and unfortunately access is limited.

Full schedule of the evening:

  • 6:30pm Doors,
  • 7:00pm Trailers/Introduction,
  • 7:30pm Film - Green Room (2015) 18+

Tickets: £3.50 in advance, £5 on the door
