Working Together. Growing together. Film Leicester shine a spotlight on the city

Film Leicester are an organisation that hopes to make Leicester and Leicestershire the top destination for film & TV production and are putting the glue into the local film scene.

The organisation understands that filmmaking is a collaborative process that can often require many people to participate in a production and their platform will help link up creatives from across the film industry.

Film Leicester will also enable Leicestershire’s filmmakers and its associated talent to support and collaborate with one another, with the hope of raising Leicester’s profile.

Film Leicester’s co-founder Andy Gundelach explains, “I want Leicester to be known for producing some of the best independent films in the world”.

“FL’s members from the film community are being encouraged to understand that by leaving their ego at the door, they will allow more opportunities for the group to develop”.

“Whatever their skill level may be, this will mean that the support offered to those starting out their careers is as valued as those who’ve been around in the industry for years”.

From help with your script to urgently arranging a crew at the last minute, Film Leicester want to make it easy for the community to find the appropriate professionals and services.

In addition, they have city and county locations and resources filmmakers require on their productions and can put people in touch directly with the others who can help.

With their motto “We work together, we grow together”, they are now looking for members of the film community to populate their members and contacts.

Whether you have a location, a studio, equipment, a skill or want to be a partner creative company, Leicester Film want to hear from you.

And with four new film coordinators joining Film Leicester they will enable Leicestershire’s filmmakers and talent and to make the area a one-stop shop for all its film requirements.

Further support could be in the form of researching, location scouting, supporting on shoots, documenting projects and more.

So please get in touch via their sites below and be a part of this growing organisation and their exciting film business directory.

And they hope this will mean members will "have a positive experience, and receive some solid experience and advice as they begin their journeys into the creative world".
