Short films wanted for Midlands screenings

SCREEN YOUR SHORT FILM AT REGIONAL OUTDOOR FILM EVENTS IN SUMMER 2021
Halifax’s Reel Solutions are delighted to be working with Adventure Cinema, who are incorporating short films into the fabric of their ambitious summer 2021 UK event screenings programme.
Adventure Cinema events are taking place in Cardiff, Newcastle, Leicester, Swansea, Nottingham, London, Huddersfield, Bristol, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Leeds, Wolverhampton, Northampton and Manchester.
There will be screenings and live events in each location over Thursdays – Sundays. As part of their events programme Adventure Cinema are dedicating one night to screening short films from local filmmakers. Some shorts will also be selected to screen alongside feature films on other nights over the weekends.
Reel Solutions are supporting Adventure Cinema with the submissions process and are welcoming submissions from short filmmakers who would like to see their films on the big screen where they live and work.
They are considering short films of all types, genres and lengths. If you have made a short film, or work, in the region around one of the towns and cities below, please submit your film for consideration via the link below.
Please note that there is no charge for submissions and a fee will be paid for each screening of films selected for the programme.
Short films up to 5 minutes in length - £20
Short films of 5 minutes to 20 minutes in length - £30
Short films of over 20 minutes in length - £40

Screening and submission details:
Films will be displayed on an open-air 45sqm LED screen. Viewers will be sat in deck chairs or on the grass.
Tickets for the event are £6+vat. Please send them a link to view via the application form, outlining which location you would like to submit a film for. If your film is selected, they will need a copy sent to us in one of the following formats:

• H264
• DCP
• DVD

On Sunday 26th April Midlands Movies Editor Michael Sales & awards ceremony co-host Ed Stagg (BBC Radio) announced the nominations for the 2026 Midlands Movies Awards live from the Queen of Bradgate Vintage Cinema in Leicester.
