Screen Northants exciting Spring ahead!

A whole host of new events and opportunities come courtesy of Screen Northants for budding filmmakers in the county.

First up, if you're interested in the Northampton Film Festival, Screen Northants now have regular Thursday sessions (online and in person) where you can hear ideas, share yours, volunteer and be part of their festival committee. The next online session is Thursday 24th February or you can join in person on Thursday 3rd March at 6pm to talk all things NFF 2022.

As well as this Screen Northants next free 48hr Film Challenges runs from 25th – 27th February.

With a new guest judge to be announced soon, a theme is posted online at 6pm on the Friday with films to be physically delivered at the Grosvenor Centre, Northampton between 5pm and 6pm on the Sunday. The jury will watch them all together and choose the winner the same night.

Check the full rules on their website but at least one member of any team needs to live or study in Northamptonshire. If you end up having to isolate because of COVID and can't make it at 6pm on the Sunday then arrangements can be made.

Register to take part by emailing fortyeight@northamptonfilmfestival.co.uk

There are also free film workshops for Northampton Schools  and Screen Northants would like people to encourage their schools to get in touch.

As part of their NFF Schools Competition, a Northampton school can benefit from free workshops supported by Northampton Borough Council and Northamptonshire Community Foundation. Read about it here and get in touch to find out more schools@northamptonfilmfestival.co.uk

Finally, make and enter your existing short films (on any subject) into the Northampton Film Festival 2022.

There are even new categories that have been added including: Main competition (drama or doc), 16yrs and Under, Schools, and ‘Sketchy Link to Northants’ which is for those who don't quite qualify for their main competition.

All of this plus even MORE can be found at https://screennorthants.wordpress.com/
