New film studio opens in Birmingham

STEM STUDIOS is a brand-new filming facility that has recently opened in Birmingham providing an important new avenue for local and national filmmakers to use in their productions

Located on the 1st floor at Millennium Point in Birmingham city centre, STEM STUDIOS is situated in the heart of everything science-based in the area.

Bader Media Entertainment's managing director says, “Everything Millennium Point do as a landlord, events venue, meeting place and facilitator feeds back into their charity - in order to give back and support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related projects”.

“In addition, they have amazing links to initiatives, organisations and individuals across the West Midlands”, he adds.

STEM STUDIOS is run by Bader Media Entertainment CIC, a film production company who made Millennium Point their home earlier this year.

The studio itself is a 162m2 blacked out sound resistant room, with a small control room with audio patches into the studio.

With convenient restroom facilities close by as well as a cafe on the second floor (Monday - Friday), a crucial loading bay and a multi-storey car park will help filmmakers get what they need to the studio itself.

And the studio space promotes itself as the perfect for film production, photography shoots, music videos, workshops, rehearsals, auditions and video podcasting.

With an ever-growing number of creatives working in the midlands, they hope to “offer a space where filmmakers from the Midlands can utilise their creativity and showcase the wealth of talent they have in the area”.
