New trailer and poster released for Midlands-made Beautiful Meadow

Beautiful Meadow, a highly-anticipated Midlands short film directed by Laurence Mason-Guetta, has just released its first-look teaser trailer as well as the poster for this upcoming project.

The Barker Studios and Picture Locked collaboration has been gaining traction in the region’s film circles and this release goes hand-in-hand with their announcement that the psychological thriller film has also locked in its premiere date

Screening for the first time at Broadway Cinema in Nottingham on January 13th 2024, Beautiful Meadow follows a man named Roman (Tarik Badwan) who is a traumatised and twisted man that struggles with the abuse inflicted on him by his mother, played by Gráinne Kelly (Netflix’s Encounters, 2023).

Plagued by a childhood of radical ideology, Roman remains trapped in a prison of attachment to his mother’s preaching teachings, trying desperately to break free with ritualistic sacrifices to god.

The film will premiere in an unique fashion - with Picture Locked premiering the film alongside a showcase of a films worked on by the same production families. With many of these screening for the first time at the event, including Swine, directed by Tee Maluzi.

Beautiful Meadow's creators are also proud the film is already stirring up excitement with its high production value and story-focused development.

The production teams of Picture Locked and Barker Studios both hope their film, alongside the series of shorts premiering along with it, will shine a spotlight on the Midlands film industry and continue to help put Nottingham on the map for independent film-making.
