Midlands Spotlight – Broken Vases

A new teaser poster and trailer has just been launched from Midlands filmmaker Taran Erhart-Bains and we take a little look into this exciting new project about to be released publicly soon.

Broken Vases is a short film with plans to explore the story of two fractured people trying to put each other's pieces back together.

Promising to be laced with twists and suspense, this drama features “powerful performances and looks at the relationship between people from opposite ends of the tracks”.

Coming courtesy of Lunar Gold Productions based in Birmingham, the company was founded by Taran himself and produces both corporate and narrative short films.

The filmmaker is of Austrian-Indian heritage and has ambitions to create a wide-ranging portfolio of work including short films, screenplays and eventually feature films. “The craft of filmmaking is an art form I have a great passion for and began as an appreciation for the moving image during university productions”.

Filmed at The Lampworks film and television studio in Birmingham, Broken Vases has an exciting young cast and stars up and coming actors Michaela Perry and Tevin Anderson in the lead roles.

With the new poster launched and a selection of scene photos showing the film’s lead stars recently published on social media, the director plans to get the film out to audiences later this month.

In anticipation for the final release, a brand new teaser trailer can be viewed via YouTube below!
