Midlands film company Outward Film Network are excited to announce a new locally made short film that will begin its festival submission run from February 2026.

Writer Caitlin Moran grew up on a council estate in Wolverhampton and new film How to Build a Girl is an adaptation of her biography of the same name which covers her career as a budding young music journalist.

With 28 Years later coming in at number four on our favourite films of 2025, hopes were high for this follow up with director Danny Boyle handing over the reins to Nia DaCosta to continue this zombie nightmare.
