Midlands director launches anthology horror film crowdfunder
"When the only escape is insanity". 4 terrifying, blood soaked and darkly humerus tales, set in a gothic British mansion .
Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker John Williams, a new horror anthology has launched a crowdfunder and is taking a step back in time in its production approach. Without a green screen or CGI monster to be seen, the team are setting out to create something with a more physical, and dare they say... a more human approach.
Night Of The Screaming Terror tells the story of Dr. Redfern as he visits St. Peters mental asylum for the criminally insane. Inside he meets the eccentric Dr. Mountford and his group of 'special' patients. Each one has a bizarre and terrifying reason for their eternal detainment in these dark corridors of the asylum.
With tales of vampires, monsters and demonic possession, the stories are brought to life with the use of practical creature effects.
Director John Williams says, "I have kept a lot of these creations away from any promotional material to avoid spoilers".
"And the film takes inspiration from movies such as 'Society Asylum', 'Critters', 'The Legend of Hell House' and many more", the filmmakers adds
The film will also feature cameos from Paul Cooper from 'This Country' and Mike Fielding who has starred in 'The Mighty Boosh'. And with its focus on a number of demonic entities throughout, the film will also feature original creatures created by the legendary Gary Pollard - famous for his work on Star Wars, the Harry Potter franchise and more.
