Leicester Film Club presents Big Trouble in Little China

The fantastic Leicester Film Club continue their ongoing film night events with a screening of John Carpenter's 80s action classic Big Trouble in Little China.


Moving into a new and bigger home at the Showcase Cinema chain in Leicester city centre, the film club are presenting the 1986 film for its 40th (!) anniversary on Saturday 31st January 2026.


The movie sees Kurt Russell starring as Jack Burton, a wisecracking truck driver who gets pulled into the supernatural underworld.


Set in San Francisco’s Chinatown the "trouble" begins when his friend’s fiancée is kidnapped by mysterious businessman and sorcerer Lo Pan.


This John Carpenter directed action comedy classic is back on the big screen for one night only to celebrate its birthday milestone and will also kick off a selection of upcoming Leicester Film Club 2026 events!
