‘Archway 0173’ is a new film from Leicester filmmaker Paticia Knight. Working under the mentorship of Keith Allott, the film features local students from the Pauline Quirke Academy.
With this being her very first short film, Patricia has enlisted some of the county’s top young acting talent with David Knight, Jess O’Brien and Eleanor Worthington Cox.
David Knight has appeared in Finding Richard, A Dozen Summers and even CBBC’s Hetty Feather whilst Jess has been seen in Keith Allott’s Flawless and made her own film, ‘Hinterland’, which was shown recently during the main competition of The Short Cinema Festival. Eleanor has also got plenty of experience on her young shoulders including co-starring with David in Hetty Feather as well as a featuring in a role in the Enfield Hauntings.
'Archway 0173' had its first screening at The Shortish Cinema (also part of the Short Cinema screenings) where it was one of a three Midlands-made films which all need slightly longer than the festival’s usual 15 minute limit to tell their story.
Writer and director Patricia is also pleased to see the film screening at Five Lamps Film in Derby in September whilst a cast and crew screening at Leicester’s Firebug bar will reunite those involved in the film to celebrate its completion.
