Midlands Movies recommends you check out the new UK film Cute Little Buggers which is filming right now in rural England and this creature feature from director Tony Jopia is a mixture of Gremlins and Fuzz. Mike finds out more...

Tony Jopia has already directed two highly successful films including 2012’s “DeadTime” and “Crying Wolf” and explains that this new movie involves hostile aliens crash landing on local farmland before young women begin to go missing. Set during an English countryside Summer ball, the villagers of the area soon band together around the protagonist Melchior Haslam, played Kristofer Dayne, to fend off the invaders and bring back peace to the sleepy village.

There are B-Movie laughs aplenty planned in this comedy horror from Great Dayne Entertainment and the set photos attached (courtesy of Andrew Laenen) show the fun and fantasy about to be unleashed.

In the style of Joe Dante’s infamous furry-flick, the official poster shows a Gremlins-style set of claws but for now, the creatures are being kept firmly under wraps. With a release schedule for 1st June 2014, we do not have to wait long to see this 80s influenced slasher horror and after the success of Attack the Block and others in recent years, this could be another addition to the retro flicks coming from the UK horror scene in recent years. For more information about the film see their IMDB page here: http://m.imdb.com/title/tt2917484/
